No, I wasn’t away anywhere, just took some time off from writing in this blog because I figured no one reads it anyway, but then I thought, it doesn’t reallly matter no one reads it, in the end I write it for me and for Marco and Isabella so they could one day look back and read all their funny adventures, and who knows maybe even continue to write here…

So, I will keep writing weekly….but don’t worry you haven’t missed anything.. School started, yipeee… kids are almost back to a routine and I’m still taking the web design course and that is about it for now…oh yes.. My birthday is coming up and I’m still not sure what I want to do, in a way its the big 40 and I should celebrate big time, but in another way I just want it to be another day so maybe no one notices and I wont get any older… who knows..

It is finally here the awaited 2008, for many 2007 was a tough year full of challenges and adventures. We could say goodbye and start a brand new chapter in our lives. I have many New Years resolutions that I hope to fulfill this year..brand new challenges to overcome and new adventures to continue.

I wish all of you a very Happy 2008 full of health, peace and love. I’m positive this year will be a very exciting one. Numerology states that 2008 is a year 1 meaning new beginnings but you must also find out what year number you are personally in, I’m entering my year 3 which I hope combined with the new beginning will jumpstart my bright future. Ok, I will continue writing as much as I can this year to keep you up to date with all our doings..

Some of you email me or call me and tell me that you love my blog and that you read it all the time which I think is great because it is a way for me to stay in touch with all of you, but i do want to encourage you to leave comments that way I know what you are thinking and you can take advantage and tell me a little about what is going on with you..

I want to hear from all of you, and know what is going on with you..OK, enough said..

I was thinking about cleaning out our storage room and throwing out all the crap we have in there that we don’t even know we have but keep because we are too lazy or just don’t have time to go through or if we do we are too sad to give or throw away. Well.. sometimes like they say , be careful what you wish for, for it might come true..and so this weekend we had a one day of very hard rain called the “gota fria” This means The Cold Drop. It happens due to warm air still coming over from Africa hitting the cooler sea and causing rain clouds. These clouds cannot get over the mountain ranges so they drop their load. thus, The Cold Drop! explanation thanks to angier blog. And what this means is it rains what is supposed to rain in about a week in about an hour…so you could imagine the chaos it holds for us here in Alicante, a city not prepared for rain…

Anyway, this lovely rain, very much needed in our neck of the woods has caused flooding everywhere including our storage room.. Yes, the water crept in about half way in so our stuff lets just say is a little stuffy and humid smelling.. there was so much water in the hall way of the storage area and in our elevators.. yes water got in the elevators.. when you got in you could hear the water gushing about …(they are not in use at the moment) a huge truck had to come and suck out about 7,000 liters of water from our garage, elevator and storage area.. hahah… yes very funny…

I had to take the day off tomorrow so we could go through all our crap and see what we could salvage.. I will let you know how much we were able to get rid off.. sometimes, things happen for a reason.. it was time to do some cleaning and the rain has helped a lot of us not only clean our stuff but refresh our spirits….

Since I started this blog last week and sent out an email to all of my friends giving them the links, I have received the following feedback:

Some responded to my email with a one phrase response indicating that I’m a geek, others are not sure what a blog is, and even though there is a direct link that they just need to click on, it seems very scary to them, others quite simply have not responded, which I assume is either because they didn’t get the e-mail or have caught on and are reading this right now, then there were a couple of you who really liked it and want one of their own.

The blog world is not as scary as it looks ,it is not a hidden cult that will take you in and change your life, yes, it might change the way you look at new technology and the future of communication. Most of my friends are probably reaching their 40’s if they have not already passed that age and are a little hesitant of all this new weird stuff.

I hope you all get inspired and start your own blog so we can all stay in touch. If you want to find out more, comment on this post and I will give you step by step lessons on how you too can be a geek like me……

I’m not sure if all of you know that my brother and his wife Cristina had a baby a couple of weeks a go, May 17th to be exact. They had a little boy name Tristan. (the name is not going at all well in the Spanish part of the family) He becomes the first to carry on the Pendas name (my dad is very proud). Anyway, my mother left today to go meet her third grandchild and help out the new parents.

I’m not sure when we will get to go see Tristan but I would love to get to West Palm Beach before the year is out..we will see how things go. Isabella and Marco are thrilled to have a new cousin. Marco can’t wait to play soccer with him and Isabella thinks its her baby and asks when he will come home, she kept telling people in school she just had a baby so everyone thought I was pregnant and were congratulating me!!!! I don’t think soo..

I’m updating our Web photo Album with comments for each picture so each album truly tells a story. It will take me some time so make sure to check back now and then and see the new texts I have added.

Once all this updating is done I will be all caught up and I could move on to other things on my to do list such as: file bills, find a swimming class for Marco and Bella, take precious to the groomer (she’s very stinky) and well, I wont bore you with the hundred things on my list.
