It can’t be? How could a month have already pass us by.. Is there way to stop time? If you figure it out let me know.. I must say 2009 has started off a little slow due to the saturn retrograde but now that Chinese New Year has finally arrived, things will begin to slowly move forward.. But wait? Didn’t I say things were going to fast, then why are some things slow… Makes no sense..

It seems we are all inpatient about certain things then complain when we have no time.. I’m trying to take things a little slower, be more patient and let those fast moving things pass me by.. How was your beginning of the year?

Today after school two of Bella’s classmates Lucia and Adriana came over for a play date.. At first I was a little scared!! I picked them up from school and they were sooo excited, on the car ride home they were just yelling with excitement.. screaming and singing.. I stopped by our local bakery and got them some goodies.. It was so much fun to see the look of joy in their eyes just to be able to choose any pastry they wanted..

At home, they of course played dress up and spent the entire afternoon, putting make-up on, singing, dancing and screaming with joy..  It was so refreshing to see little girls just enjoying being little girls.. no cares in the world (other than what costume willl I wear next, or what color eyeshadow should I use).

I taught them a little dance and they just loved to pretend be ballerinas.. Overall, it was a fun afternoon for me, although the playroom is a mess, I have a headache from all the screaming and I don’t feel like cleaning..

Like every start of the New Year, we make promises that we don’t keep, well, we start off good but then by mid March or before we have given up and forgotten there was a promise that was made. A resolution that is a good intention but that never materializes. Well, I hope this year is a little different, although being an odd Ox year (Chinese astrology terminology), I think we will need to have a lot of patience in getting our things done.

This year I have a couple of resolutions I hope to be able to keep:

• Get back in shape! Ever since the kids were born I have been on and off with my exercise routine.. In La I would go to ballet class twice a week which I loved, and did yoga another 2 days but ever since moving to Spain I have not found a ballet class close to home and have been very lazy about my home yoga.. But this year I have already found a great yoga studio and will begin classes soon.
• Stay in touch with friends and family. Last year I let go this blog a bit and didn’t email or call my close friends as often as I would like.. This year I hope to do better.. Although all of you who don’t have Skype yet,, get it!!!!!
•  Continue on my spiritual path. Those of you who know me well, know that I love reading about new subjects specially astrology, numerology, tarot, meditation and anything that brings me closer to my being. Again, with the kids it is next to imposible to meditate in peace but this year I will make time for myself and heck why not, make them join in, (they already love to do yoga with me).
• Find my purpose.. Hahahahaa.. Ok this one I just put in to see if you were paying attention.. Although, that has always been and will always be my purpose..

Well kids, have a great beginning of 2009 and let the year bring you many happy surprises..

Today is my moms birthday!! She will not let me say how old she is.. Although, I reminded her that in yer facebook profile she placed her year of birth wich is 1937, so I will just let you do the math.. She looks great for her age and although she just passed through a bad cold she is all better now.

 So HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!
