Matt misses his flightPosted on May 27th, 2008 @ 9:05 am

Matt was supposed to be home last night from his 15 day trip to the states but when he called me yesterday in the early afternoon, I knew something was wrong, because either he was calling from way up in the sky or he wasn’t up in the sky.. Evidently, it was Memorial Day yesterday and it took him 3 hours to get from the Valley to the LAX airport..He also had trouble finding the rental car place to return the car and once he found it, he missed the turn and had to go all around the airport again which took another hour.
Those of you who know Matt, know he is very exaggerated when it comes to getting to the airport on time, leaving almost 4 to to 5 hours earlier to make sure there are no problems.. but I guess like my dad said “nowadays you must leave half a day early to the airport to make your flight!!”. Lesson learnt.. He had to live in the airport for almost a day sort of like the Tom Hanks character and then wait until 12 noon for the counter to open and pray they wouldn’t have to make him buy another plane ticket which would have been $1,600..
He hasn’t called me yet today so I’m assuming he is up in the sky and should get home sometime tonight..

Marco’s “Chichon”Posted on May 15th, 2008 @ 4:25 pm

Marco fell yesterday and hit his head with the corner of the radiator and got a huge “chichon” what a huge bump in the head is called here in Spain. It looked like the sort of bump that happens to cartoon characters when they are hit with a hammer or something of the sort..I was petrified so I took him to the doctor but he assured me that he would be fine.
I guess his big hard head is good for something.. The poor thing did not have a good day, he went on a school trip to Terra Natura, where he told me in his own words “I saw a big CACA of elephant, a blue en venenosa, how to you say that in english frog, a lion who was asleep, and some bichitos very little, and we walked a lot, I was hot, and I ate a big bocadillo of chorizo”. (do you like all the spanglish) And on the bus ride back he barfed all over himself and his friend Carlos who started to yell at the top of his lungs for someone to come help his friend.
Overall, not a good day for Marco, and for me..

Flat TirePosted on May 14th, 2008 @ 12:20 pm

Yesterday was Tuesday the 13th, here in Spain it has the same significance as Friday the 13th in the states. With that said, I got a flat tire yesterday just when I arrived at school to pick up the kids..Luckly, I have a service called RACC, that came right over and changed it for me (well, put the spare on for me).. I guess I could have done that myself, but there is no need to get dirty and most importantly I have no clue how to change a tire..
Isabella was very intrigued by the mechanic changing the tire and helped him by holding the bolts.. Marco could give three shits and just wanted to know when we were going to get home so he could eat a sandwich..hahaha..
This morning I went to a tire shop and the car is all better now..Well, that’s it, the adventure of yesterday and today…

Marco and his Soccer TeamPosted on May 12th, 2008 @ 8:47 am

Marco had his semi-final soccer game this weekend and they beat their opponents 5-1. Marco plays defense and just loves to not only play soccer, watch it on TV, play video games, computer games, collect cards.. He is a real fanatic..His tecnique is getting better but I’m not getting my hopes up that he will be the next Beckham.
But for now he is very happy and the exercise is good for him..

Bella making an omelete video (4 parts)Posted on May 8th, 2008 @ 1:29 pm
Part one
I finally had to video tape Bella cooking..as you can see here she carefully breaks the eggs, puts salt and slowly starts to beat them.. Matt came in so I had to stop recording..
Part 2
I missed the part where she pours it in the pan, but trust me she did it herself perfectly..
Part 3
Here she carefully turns it, with Marco by her side in amazement…
Part 4
She finally gets it out of the pan and voila an omelete is made…

Do you Twitter?Posted on May 7th, 2008 @ 3:30 pm

When I first heard this word, I thought to myself, Twitter? Is that a bird sound? But, little by little I came to find out it is actually another way to stay in touch with friends through the internet. You basically sign up, fill in your profile and then now and then you write a little note about what you are doing during the day. You can look up all your friends and communicate with them this way.. Sort of like this blog but on a more constant basis…
I know, I know …way too much information.. Well, its the tecnology age so you are either in it or your are on your way out..For now, I have chosen to join this community and chat away with my buddies… Give it a try it’s fun…
